Monetizing your Blog Session at Blogworld 2010

Just got back from Blogworld in Las Vegas. The panel I participated on was a lot of fun. John Chow, Darren Rowse, Anita Campbell and myself each gave our presentations about how we generate revenue for our blogs. That may sound pretty simple... but there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff you do not think about. I might redo my presentation live for newsletter readers later this week. We will see how it goes. blogworld Photography by Naomi Trower After we finished with presentations, we did a site clinic. There was a huge line of people throwing out their sites to us... and we would come up with ways for them to monetize them. I think we were able to really open the eyes of some of the participants. The session was moderated by Jim Kukral. I have been on over 30 or so group panels in the last 6 years, and Jim has really become a great moderator for these bigger sessions. It's not easy to moderate four strong, opinionated speakers, keeping questions from being run-on stories, and finishing a 2 hr 15 minute session almost on the dot. It was really nice to meet all the ShoeMoney readers at Blogworld! I had a blast hanging out with Missy Ward and Shawn Collins, the founders of Affiliate Summit. They have some really neat ideas on how to help people get started making money at Affiliate Summit West this year. I am happy to volunteer to take part and it should be really cool. More to come on that soon.
