What the hell is Adtribution

HasOffers put out a press release yesterday with the headline that "HasOffers Admits Online Advertising Is Broken" (nice attention grabbing headline) and were launching a new technology called Adtribution. You can apply to be in the beta here. I got about 20 messages from people asking me what it is.... exactly. From reading the press release and talking to them it seems they will be releasing a new technology, called Adtribution, that will be able to credit everyone who had involvement in a action defined by the advertiser. I am excited to see what they come up with. I have been using the HasOffers platform for our affiliate network and its amazing. Its by far the best out there. We have advertisers who use Direct Track or Hitpath and they lose probably 10-15% of conversions. One affiliate network affiliate manager took me to task on my claim that HasOffers was the best platform out there so we did a little test head to head and our hasoffers out performed their "in house" developed platform by a embaressing 22%. Needless to say they begged me not to post the results or name them as they wanted to look into it (no word in 3 months now =P ). Anyway point being the guys behind HasOffers come from the affiliate side of things and build shit with the affiliate in mind. Its going to be neat to watch this evolve. Get in on the beta here.
